Summary:
|
The District would like to continue contracting with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (RCOE) for Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) Assessment Services as needed for District students during the 2018-19 school year. Services provided by the RCOE Special Education Department include two (2) 1 and 1/2 - 2 hour appointments for the completion of a series of tests that evaluate hearing acuity, middle ear function, and a variety of auditory processes, a detailed report sent to the District and the parent, attendance at an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting to review the CAPD Assessment findings, including diagnosis and recommendations, and Frequency Modulation (FM) trial recommendation/coordination, when appropriate.
The cost per student will be $1,000 for the 2018-19 school year.
This contract is being brought forward as a ratification due to untimely receipt.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
