Summary:
|
Perris High School’s Agriculture teacher Douglas Cousins, is requesting Board approval for the Perris High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the California State FFA Career Technical Education finals that will be held at Cal Poly University, in San Luis Obispo, California, May 4-7, 2017.
This event will be the culmination of a year of hard work competing throughout Southern California at numerous events against other FFA Chapters. In the event that Perris High School FFA wins the state championship, they would then be eligible to travel to the 2017 National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
This is an overnight field trip of 3 nights, with 25 students, and 5 adult chaperones. Transportation will be provided via District/Site agriculture vehicles. The estimated cost is $40 per person. All expenses will be paid from the Perkins Grant and Associated Student Body funds.

The cost for this item is included in the 2016-17 operating budget funded through the Perkins monies, Fund 06, and the Agriculture ASB account.
