Summary: The California Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) program has been established as a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative with the goal of providing pupils with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to employment and postsecondary education. The purpose of this program is to encourage the development of new Career Technical Education (CTE) programs and enhance and maintain current CTE programs. It is the intent of the Perris Union High School District (PUHSD) to utilize CTEIG funds to upgrade the facilities at Perris Lake High School to create a multi-use space to offer Career Technical Education pathways as determined by labor market demands and local surveys.

The Perris Union High School District Facilities Department has requested a Proposal from PJHM Architects, Inc. for the Building 200 Project at Perris Lake High School. This project includes the removal of interior walls, improvements to the building's interior spaces, as well as electrical and plumbing upgrades necessary to accommodate the use of this building. PJHM’s architectural services will include the planning and design of the improvements to the 200 building. These services include the development of project drawings that will be used to procure bids for this project. The cost of PJHM Architects, Inc. services will be provided at an amount not to exceed $25,000.

Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19 operating budget funded through Career Technical Education Incentive Grant, not the General Fund.
