Summary:
|
Katie Bradley, Paloma Valley High School (PVHS) Boys' Varsity Volleyball Coach, has submitted a request to have 14 members of the varsity volleyball team participate in two tournaments in March.
The first tournament will be at Foothill High School, in Santa Ana, on March 17-18, 2017; and, the second tournament at Valley Christian High School, in Cerritos, on March 24-25, 2017.
These tournaments will offer the team the opportunity to play against elite varsity level competition and provide increased exposure for players who intend on playing college volleyball.
The reason for the overnight request is that when attending the tournaments in the past, the students were transported back and forth each day, arriving back at PVHS near midnight, only to return to the school early the next morning to go back to the tournament. By staying overnight this will also give the players an opportunity to spend some quality time with their teammates.
The 14 players and two (2) chaperones will be attending each tournament. The cost to attend each of the volleyball tournaments is $400 per team. All expenses will be paid for by the ASB.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for Paloma Valley High School Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team to attend tournaments at Foothill High School, in Santa Ana, March 17-18, 2017; and at Valley Christian High School, in Cerritos, on March 24-25, 2017.
