Summary:
|
The District and National University wish to enter into a Student Teaching Agreement. The District shall provide counseling, administration, teaching, and/or observation experiences, as well as mentoring teachers in schools and classes of the District for students of the University. The University will reimburse the District for supervision of the number of units earned by the student teacher or by a predetermined amount. The total stipend amount for supervision per student shall not exceed six hundred ($600).
The term of this Agreement is from February 25, 2018 through April 13, 2023.
This Agreement is being taken to the Board as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from National University.
Pursuant to California Education Codes 44321 and 44452, a school district governing board is authorized to enter into an agreement with a state university or any university or college accredited by the State Board of Education as a teacher education institution in order to provide teaching experience through student teaching to students enrolled in teacher training curricula.
