Summary:
|
The District previously executed an Agreement for Architectural Services ("Master Agreement") with Baker Nowicki Design Studio, LLP ("Baker Nowicki") in November of 2013 for planning and design of the District's High School No. 4 Project, now referred to by the District as Liberty High School. While the Master Agreement had not originally contemplated aquatic facilities at Liberty High School, District staff has now identified the need to expand the scope of the project to include a thirty-three (33) meter pool and associated site improvements.
Baker Nowicki's services will include all services necessary to develop the project plans and specifications, through approval by the Division of State Architect ("DSA"). The estimated construction cost of the pool facility at Liberty High School is $8,000,000.00, and the total project budget is approximately $10,000,000.00. The total cost for Baker Nowicki's services for this Project is estimated to be $683,125.00 through completion, based on the sliding scale fee schedule and additional fees for specialty engineering services, as described in the attached Addendum No. 1 Architect fees, while initially based upon estimated construction costs, are ultimately based upon actual construction costs.
