Summary: The District requested a proposal from Trane for services in support of the Trane (Energy Management System) EMS which has been installed at Perris High School as part of Phase 2A of the Perris High School Transformation Plan. Currently, the Trane EMS System controls the HVAC Systems in the Boys/Girls locker rooms, the 4000 building, Satellite Kitchen, and will be installed in Phase 2B as well as the PACE Phase 2 Building. The Trane Building Advantage Program includes support for installed building automation software, remote support, monthly system diagnostics, quarterly maintenance of the EMS system, as well as annual training for the District HVAC Staff. These services will provided as part of this Agreement at a cost of $19,329.19.

The term of this Agreement shall be from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018.

The Agreement may be renewed annually upon mutual consent expressed in writing by the District and Consultant for up to four (4) additional one (1) year terms in accordance with Education Code 17596.

Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budgets (funded through Routine Restricted Maintenance funds, not the General Fund)
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with Trane for the Building Advantage Energy Management System and Building Performance Services.
