Summary:
|
At the February 20, 2019 Board meeting, the District presented a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Azusa Pacific University (APU) for Board approval. The MOU established a partnership that includes a tuition discount for employees of the District to provide access to professional preparation through certificate, credential, masters’ and education specialist degrees. In addition, the District would agree to help disseminate APU program information to all employees and allow APU representatives access to District sites to meet with employees. When the MOU was submitted to APU with the District’s signature, they responded with a revised MOU extending the term by two years. Extending the term allows APU and the District to maintain the same renewal terms as other MOU’s currently in place with the District.
The original term of the MOU was from March 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. The revised term of this MOU will be from April 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.
