Summary:
|
At the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) 2017 Annual Meeting and Expo, in San Antonio, Texas, educators at all levels will be brought together to enhance their professional skills, knowledge, and careers. Mr. Anthony Maldonaldo, CMI Math Teacher, would like to attend this event, scheduled for April 5-8, 2017, as this is an opportunity to make an investment in students’ academic growth and success as well as meet his professional development goals.
By attending this conference, Mr. Maldonaldo will be able to select from more than 200 sessions and gallery workshops targeted by grade levels and special topics. He expects to learn practices central to teaching the Common Core State Standards while giving students the tools they need to succeed. In addition, he will be able to learn about new classroom resources and technology, interact and network with colleagues, and bring back activities and lesson plans that can immediately be implemented in the classroom.

The cost for this item is included in the CMI 2016-17 general budget.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the out-of-state conference request for Anthony Maldonaldo to attend the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Meeting and Exposition, in San Antonio, Texas, April 5-8, 2017.
