Summary:
|
Paloma Valley High School’s Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, Justin Marquis, is requesting approval for the annual Southern California college trip for it's sophomore class members. The students will be visiting approximately six (6) college campuses over the two (2) day trip. The list of colleges they plan to visit is as follows: Cal State Los Angeles, University of Southern California (USC), University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Cal State University Long Beach, Whittier College, and Cal Poly Pomona.
Forty (40) students and four (4) adults will be transported by a charter bus, which will be paid by the AVID Associated Student Body (ASB) account via fundraising. Students will be fundraising to cover the cost for their lodging and food. The cost to attend this trip will be $100 per person.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Paloma Valley High School's Advancement Via Individual Determination Associated Student Body Account, not the General Fund.
