Summary: The District used formal bidding procedures for the Paloma Valley High School, Classroom Addition and Stadium Improvement Project. The project includes seven (7) contractor categories. The bid opening was held on November 8, 2018, and twenty four (24) bids were submitted.

These contracts were bid and were awarded pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111, which provides that the Governing Board shall let any contract for a public project, as defined in subdivision(c) of Section 22002, involving an expenditure of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) or more, to the lowest responsible bidder. A copy of the entire Bid Package is available in the Business Services Division for review. Notice to Proceed was given in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this contract award is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19 operating budget, funded through various Facilities Funds.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award Contracts in seven (7) categories to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders in their respective category for the Paloma Valley Classroom Addition and Stadium Improvement Project.
