Summary: A new Riverside County Office of Education/Career Technical Education (CTE) course titled "CTE Carpentry I" is being submitted. This is a year-long CTE course that meets A-G requirements.

The course content is based upon the Career Connections curriculum provided by The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC). The training program is intended to prepare high school students for direct entry to the apprenticeship program.

This is a pre-approved course by the Riverside County Office of Education, it does not require a second reading.

"CTE Carpentry I" has been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
