Summary:
|
On April 30, 2019, the California Military Institute and the California Military Institute Teachers Association (CMITA) entered into a Tentative Agreement in regards to compensation.
All unit members will receive a one-time off schedule payment equal to two percent (2.0%) of their 2018-19 base salary placement as of May 1, 2019, and who were also in paid status as of May 1, 2019. This off-schedule payment shall be paid in (1) one installment in June 2019. Pursuant Article 7, (Salary Increases) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; effective July 1, 2019 an ongoing two-percent (2%) increase shall be applied to all salary schedules. Effective July 1, 2020, an additional ongoing two-percent (2%) increase shall be applied to all salary schedules.
Pursuant to AB 1200, a public school employer must disclose the major provisions of any changes to a collective bargaining agreement, including the costs incurred by the employer for the current and subsequent fiscal years.
Attached are the required AB 1200 public disclosure documents in Accordance with G.C. 3547.5., E.C. 42142 and Criteria and Standards adopted by the State Board of Education.

The 2018-19 Estimated Actuals and the 2019-20 budget and multi-year projections will be adjusted to reflect the terms of this Agreement.

Recommendation:
|
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Disclosure of Collective Bargaining Agreement (AB1200) for the period of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021 with the California Military Institute Teachers Association.
