Summary:
|
The District would like to continue the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Azusa Pacific University (APU) that began with the Class of 2020 to guarantee admission to the University dependent on meeting standard admission requirements. The MOU establishes a partnership that includes a minimum $10,000.00 scholarship per year for students of the District who meet all requirements for admission provided that students complete the FAFSA, in order to provide access to higher education degrees. In addition, the District would agree to support the attainment of benchmarks with an enhanced program that includes various standards.
The MOU was originally board approved on October 16, 2019. The term began October 29, 2019, for the 2019-2020 school year and the first cohort of students was the Perris Union High School District’s graduating class of 2020. The term of this MOU has been amended to show a five (5) year term and will terminate on June 30, 2024.
