Summary:
|
District staff requested multiple proposals for the Division of State Architects (DSA), Inspector of Record (IOR). After reviewing these proposals, the District would like to extend the contract for the DSA Inspector of Record services, for the Perris High School Completion Phase Project, to Ironwood Consulting & Inspections, Inc. The IOR verifies that construction of a project follows and adheres to the plans and specifications as approved by the Division of State Architects office. The duties of the IOR are defined in the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 1, Section 4-342. In addition, the IOR works with the District team to mitigate the effects of construction activities and operations on a school site and to make sure all applicable safety standards are being followed. Specific to the Perris High School Completion Phase Project, DSA is requiring the use of an assistant inspector in addition to the main project inspector. The DSA IOR services are provided through project completion and will be billed at an hourly rate of $95.00 for the main Project Inspector and $87.00 for the Assistant Inspector, with an estimated project cost of $954,720.
The term of this Agreement shall be three (3) years from October 29, 2020 through October 28, 2023.
This Agreement is being brought forth as a ratification due to delays in the proposal process and fully vetting of Ironwood’s proposal. Ratification of this Agreement will also mitigate impacts to the project schedule. Ratification is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.

The cost for this item is included in the 2020-21 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
