Summary:
|
The District currently provides services to approximately 1,330 students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Although the District offers most services to students, we do not offer all services to students. The District contracts annually with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools through the Riverside County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) for Intensive Behavior Intervention (IBI) services to assess, attend IEP meetings, progress monitoring, train, provide direct supervision as well as curriculum and material for students requiring IBI services. The Riverside County Superintendent of Schools has extensive services for students with these disabilities and continues to do an excellent job of servicing our students.
The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. The estimated cost for these services, based upon projected enrollment and 2018-19 costs, is $15,000. Modification No. 1 reflects an increase in the rate schedule only.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Special Education, not the General Fund.
