Summary:
|
Paloma Valley High School’s Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, Justin Marquis, is requesting approval for the annual Northern California College Trip for its junior class members. The students will be visiting approximately sixteen (16) college campuses over the four (4) day trip. The list of campuses programmed to attend are as follows: Fresno State University, UC Merced, Sacramento State University, UC Davis, Chico State University, Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, CSU Monterey Bay, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and UC Santa Barbara.
Forty-four (44) students and four (4) adults will be transported by a charter bus, which will be paid by the site Associated Student Body (ASB) AVID account and fundraising. Students will be fundraising to cover the cost for their lodging and food. The estimated total cost, including transportation will be approximately $18,000.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Paloma Valley High School's Advancement Via Individual Determination Associated Student Body Account, not the General Fund.
