Summary:
|
The District entered into an Agreement for Division of State Architects (DSA) Inspector of Record (IOR) Services for the Perris High School Increment 1 Project with Inland Inspections and Consulting. The IOR verifies that the construction of a project follows and adheres to the plans and specifications as approved by the DSA office. The duties of the IOR are defined in the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 1, Section 4-342. In addition, the IOR works with the District to mitigate the effects of construction activities and operations on a school site and to make sure all applicable safety standards are being followed. The DSA IOR services are provided through project completion and will be billed at an hourly rate of $97.50 with an estimated project cost of $39,000.
The timing of this component of the project was moved up as a result of ordered school closures and is therefore being brought forward to the Board as a ratification. Ratification is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
