Summary: The District determined it will utilize Chromebooks as a part of the Scholar Plus Initiative to prepare students for common core, college and careers. The 1:1 program using Chromebooks began in the 2013-14 school year. The use of Chromebooks inside and outside of the classroom is a highly successful component of the District providing our students access to a world-class education.

Year five of the District's 1:1 program will begin in the 2017-18 school year. As such, a ratio of Chromebooks is needed to ensure that the 1:1 program is sustainable.
