Summary:
|
The Facilities Team requested a Proposal for architectural services from PJHM Architects for the renovation of the student restroom facilities at California Military Institute (CMI). The CMI student restrooms renovation will consist of new walls, fixtures, lighting, ADA upgrades, plumbing renovations, flooring and partitions. PJHM’s Proposal includes the development of plans, submission to the Division of State Architect’s (DSA) office, as well as construction administration services through DSA Project Certification. PJHM’s services will be provided at a cost of $40,000.
This project is being timed to take advantage of the current Gym and Parking/Circulation Project that is under construction at CMI. Completing this project at this time will ensure pricing advantages by utilizing construction trades that are already on site. Miller Construction, the current construction manager on site, will manage the Restroom Renovation Project which will also provide cost savings to CMI. A Construction Management Agreement for Miller Construction will be brought for approval at the June Board Meeting.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through the California Military Institute One-Time Funds, not the General Fund.
