Summary: Nutrition Services is requesting to renew the Agreement for Bid 092816 for snacks and beverages as awarded to A and R Food Distributors at the Board meeting on October 19, 2016. Nutrition Services has determined that it is in the best interest of the District to extend the contract through the 2017-18 school year.

The Agreement included up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms for a maximum of three (3) years in accordance with Education Code Section 81644. This term for Amendment No. 1 from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 will be the first of the (2) additional one (1) year terms.
Funding: The cost of this item will be included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through Nutrition Services, Fund 13.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with A and R Food Distributors for Bid #092816 for snacks and beverages for the 2017-18 school year.
