Summary:
|
The District would like to retain the services of Leslie Ventuleth to provide training and support to the Human Resources Department for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year. Leslie retired as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the District in 2013 and has been filling in as a sub the last 8 months. Given that retirees have limited hours they can work and Leslie is nearing those hours, and given the training and support needs for the Human Resources Department, it is recommended Leslie be transitioned to a consultant.
The term of the agreement will be for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year from May 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017. The services will be provided at a rate of $800 per day for a total not to exceed $35,200.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.
