Summary: The Perris Union High School District has four schools (Heritage High School, Paloma Valley High School, Perris High School, and Pinacate Middle School) certified through RIMS Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and AVID Center in San Diego. This contract covers the licensing fee in addition to the support each site receives from personnel at RIMS AVID and AVID Center. Support includes coaching for AVID site coordinators, site teams, site administration, and district administration, as well as assistance with data management of the AVID program, site visits, writing of the site plan, the annual certification self-study and implementation of the plans.

The total cost of services will be $11,723. The term of this Agreement will be July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through Title I and Categorical funding, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Advancement Via Individual Determination College Readiness System Services and Products Agreement for secondary membership and subscription services.
