Summary:
|
The District would like to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Azusa Pacific University (APU) to guarantee admission to the University beginning with the Class of 2020 dependent on meeting standard admission requirements. The MOU establishes a partnership that includes a minimum $10,000 scholarship per year for students of the District who meet all requirements for admission provided that students complete the FAFSA, in order to provide access to higher education degrees. In addition, the District would agree to support the attainment of benchmarks with an enhanced program that includes various standards.
The term of the MOU will begin immediately for the 2019-20 school year and the first cohort of students will be the Perris Union High School District’s graduating class of 2020. This Agreement shall be reviewed annually and may be amended or extended with the agreement of both parties.
