Summary: The District wishes to continue the use of the District’s Education Assessment Data Management System through iO Education (formerly Adrylan Incorporated).

iO Education provides us with services in the processing and management of essential instructional data used by site/district administration, instructional departments, and individual teachers. This includes a tool for teachers to analyze student performance on standards aligned assessments for Professional Learning Communities as well as big picture data analysis for the Local Control Accountability Plan. The administration is recommending the iO Education contract for the 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 school years.

The iO Education Assessment and Data Management System features include the following:

1) iO Education Data Management System hosted at iO Education’s Data Center
2) Support for 3rd party Item Banks, including INSPECT, Measured Progress, and the Fluence Item Bank
3) Unlimited phone support provided to EADMS Data Administrator(s)
4) Daily electronic enrollment updates

The total price for annual support will not exceed $78,406.75 per year. This price per year includes the following:

1) Instructional Assessment Platform Cost including Key Data and Fluence Item Banks: $52,963.50 ($5.10 per license)
2) Measured Progress Item Bank: $25,443.25 ($2.45 per license)

The term of this Agreement will be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.

The total cost of $78,406.75 per year is comprised of 10,385 user licenses at $7.55 per license. There are 9,379 District user licenses for a total of $70,811.45. There are 1,006 California Military Institute (CMI) user licenses for total of $7,595.30. iO Education will send separate invoices for the District and CMI.

Education Codes 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 operating budgets funded through the General Fund and the Charter School.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Multi-Year Agreement with iO Education for the iO Education Data and Assessment Management System.
