Summary:
|
The District retained the services of Wilhite and Associates, on May 30, 2017, to conduct an operational evaluation of the District’s security program. The District would like to continue utilizing Wilhite and Associates to develop District safety and security policies and procedures along with site-specific procedures consistent with Board and District policies, develop a comprehensive training plan, and conduct training for Campus Supervisors, Plant Supervisors and Administrators. Additional security assessments will also be conducted, including access control and visitor management to be included within the policies and trainings. Wilhite and Associates will continue working with the Director of Risk Management and Environmental Safety to facilitate this process.
Addendum No. 1 extends the term of the Agreement to June 30, 2019, increases the fees to $100 an hour, not to exceed $80,000, and modifies the scope to include policy and procedure development and training.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 operating budgets funded through Safety Credits, not the General Fund.
