Lit Fiber License Agreement - Sunesys 10Gbps Line to RCOE.PDF
Summary: In the District’s (PUHSD) ongoing effort to ensure adequate resources to educational programs and to meet the guidelines of at least 10Gbps internet service, the District would like to renew the lease with Sunyses to provide a fiber optic connection from the District Administrative Center to the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE). This is the physical component required to deliver 10Gbps internet service to our schools and students. The contract would continue the current system already in place between RCOE and the District and will not alter any currently provided services.

The term of this Agreement will be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021 at a rate of $2,500 per month for a total of $90,000.

Utilization of the contract is contingent upon approved funding for the 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 E-Rate years and the District is under no obligation to proceed with the recommended contract. Costs to the District can be discounted from 60 percent to 90 percent dependent upon the service and District eligibility.
Funding: The cost for this item is contingent upon approved funding for the 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 E-Rate years.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the multi-year Lit Fiber License Agreement with Sunesys LLC to provide a fiber-optic connection from the District Administrative Center to the Riverside County Office of Education.
