Summary:
|
The District's Educational Services Department has made recommendations for updates in our district wide course materials. At this point in time we are looking at the French textbook adoption phase. This will be followed with the next phase of revising the French courses to align with the new textbooks.
During the 2018-19 school year, the World Languages French teachers piloted materials from two (2) publishers, Adomania and T’ES BRANCHE. The schools involved in the pilot were Heritage High School and Paloma Valley High School as Perris High School and the California Military Institute do not offer this curriculum at this time. Each teacher received class sets, Teacher Resource Kits (per course), and copies of the student workbooks from both T’es Branche and Adomania. The piloted textbooks are listed above.
All French teachers were invited to participate in the evaluation process and their responses were compiled to make the final decision. Listed below are the names of the textbooks that the French Department has chosen:
