Summary
:
On March 15, 2017, the Board of Trustees approved the adoption of the new math textbooks for all District current math courses.
Amanda Darton, Teacher on Special Assignment - Math, has been working with the Math SAC (Subject Area Council) which consists of math teacher representatives from each of the school sites to review and rewrite the course of study curriculums pertaining to the new textbook adoption. Each of the revised math courses reflect the use of the new textbook, are aligned to the California State Standards.
The following revised courses are being submitted for first reading: Math 5 and Math 6.
The revised Math 5 and Math 6 Courses have been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees receive for review and consideration, as part of the first reading, the revised Elementary Mathematics courses: Math 5 and Math 6.
