ConvergeOne - Managed Network Services - Proposals SOW CMAS Info.pdf
Summary: As the use of technology becomes more pervasive throughout our classrooms with teachers and students leveraging our network to do new, innovative things we have introduced an increase in the overall complexity of the District’s network. This complexity is necessary to provide a robust, resilient network that provides a safe and secure environment for learning. As a result of the increases in complexity, we have a subsequent increase in high level support needs which are outpacing the capabilities of our staff.

To support the increased high level network support demands, the District recommends engaging a vendor to provide high level support services including maintenance and monitoring. Prior to implementing the monthly monitoring and maintenance it will be necessary to remediate known existing problems within the District network. We have worked with the proposed vendor to perform a comprehensive network health assessment and they have developed the attached “Network and Datacenter Health Check” statement of work to address these deficiencies.

The network remediation services will cost $67,287.50, which is a one-time, fixed cost for the 2017-18 school year. The total cost for the District in year one (2017-18) will be $142,587.50, which includes $75,300 ($6,275 per month) for high level support services including maintenance and monitoring. Ongoing annual support services for high level support services including maintenance and monitoring will be $75,300 per year for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years.

Both of these services will primarily focus on the core of the District's network, our server and storage infrastructure, backups as well as our phone system. In addition to providing monitoring and maintenance, the contractor will assist with ensuring the District network is secured against increasingly complex threats.

This contract will utilize the California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) Contract Number 3-15-70-2486E. Legal reference for piggybackable bidding is Public Contract Code 20118.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20 operating budgets funded through the Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration funds.
