Summary: Studying the feasibility of a next local bond measure will require certain pre-election services to be performed by qualified bond counsel. Stradling, Yocca, Carlson, and Rauth is being recommended to perform these specialized services for the District. There is no fee for these services; however, should a bond measure ultimately be placed on the ballot, and if the measure is successful, bond counsel and disclosure counsel post-election services would be performed by Stradling, Yocca Carlson, and Rauth. The cost for these services would be paid from bond proceeds.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact to any of the District’s funds. The cost for this item, contingent upon a successful bond measure, would be paid from bond proceeds.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Bond Counsel Agreement with Stradling, Yocca, Carlson, and Rauth.
