Summary:
|
Perris High School's Agriculture teacher, Douglas Cousins, is requesting Board approval for the Perris High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the 91st Annual State Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, April 26-29, 2019.
The FFA Leadership Conference is an extension of the classroom and will strengthen what the students have learned through the curriculum. The purpose of this trip is to expand leadership skills by attending leadership workshops and activities. The skills acquired at these conferences are valuable tools that can be used immediately and after high school.
This is an overnight field trip of 3 nights, with 30 students, and 4 adult chaperones. Transportation will be provided via District and site vehicles.
The estimated cost is $200 per person.

The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19 operating budget funded through the PHS Perkins Grant and Student Body Funds.
