Summary:

Jennifer Palomba, Heritage High School (HHS) Coach and Pep Squad Advisor, has submitted a request to the Board of Trustees for Heritage High School’s Pep Squad to attend the National Cheerleaders Association Cheer and Dance Camp 2017 to be held at the San Diego Marriott in La Jolla, San Diego, California, on July 16-19, 2017.
The objectives for attending this summer camp is to provide comprehensive cheerleading and song leading instruction that leads to safe, fundamentally sound cheer and dance techniques for HHS student cheerleaders and song leaders; to provide a team bonding experience in an effort to promote leadership within the squad which will extend to the student body of HHS. The cheer teams will learn seven chants to used during the cheer season, as well as learn proper stunting and a dance. The song team will learn a dance, proper turns, and leaps.
Approximately 60 Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleading and song team members along with eight adult chaperones will be attending the 4-day, 3-night camp. The cost for the students to attend the summer camp is $459 per participant which includes lodging, all meals and transportation. All student costs are being paid from the site athletic account.
