Summary:
|
The District requests approval of a multi-year Agreement with Gallup, Incorporated to conduct and analyze an employee engagement survey, specifically designed to analyze factors that lead to or inhibit employee morale. The intent of this Agreement is to support the Board of Education’s goal of improving employee morale. Engaged employees are those who are involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work and workplace. Gallup, Incorporated is a research-based, global performance-management firm that provides research and strategic support to organizations like the District. The results provided by Gallup will be compared to similar organizations throughout the nation, allowing district administrators to identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth related to employee morale and employee engagement.
The information gained through the process will help school leaders, classified managers, and the Human Resources Department review and analyze employee engagement at both the meta-level (district-wide) and micro-level (site/department), so they can address trends in engagement, motivation, and interests.
The term of this Agreement will be July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021 at a cost of $17,500 per year.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.

The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21 operating budgets funded through the General Fund.
