Summary:
|
Brian Dirkswager, Yearbook Club Advisor at the California Military Institute (CMI), is submitting an overnight field trip request for the Board’s consideration and approval for he and six (6) CMI yearbook students to go on an overnight trip to the 2018 Walsworth’s So Cal Yearbooks Workshop at Chapman University in Orange, California, July 20-23, 2018.
Students will attend one of the following yearbook workshops: Yearbook I or II, Photography I or II, Editorial Leadership, Design and/or Writing.
In addition, the students will be participating in Team Building Activities. Mr. Dirkswager will receive veteran advisor training and networking with other advisors.
Students will stay in dorm rooms at Chapman University. Rooms will be assigned by gender and school (boys and girls will not be rooming together). All meals are provided by the camp. Cost will be $425 per student attendee and $515 for the one advisor. Transportation to and from the yearbook workshops will be provided by a District vehicle.
