Summary: Ceara Bryan, Heritage High School Art teacher, is requesting approval to attend the National Art Education Association’s National Convention in Seattle, Washington, March 22-24, 2018.

The National Art Education Association National Convention is the annual NAEA conference and this year's theme is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), a subject Ms. Bryan is very passionate about. She loves integrating technology into her Art room. She has given presentations about 3D Printing Basics at three conferences including the CUE National Convention in Palm Springs. She is honored to have been chosen to give a similar presentation at the NAEA Convention in Seattle this year.

Ms. Bryan is very excited to get the latest and greatest news in Art Education at this conference and to be able to have the opportunity to collaborate with other Art Educators. She will bring this knowledge back to her classroom and also to share with others in the District.

Ms. Bryan appreciates all the support she has received from the District's technology team and looks forward to be representing the District at this conference. She has been giving presentations at the District's professional development days for the past two years. She plans on bringing back knowledge that will help her to keep her presentations and classroom practices fresh and relevant.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through Title I Professional Development.
