RFP# 052319 Formal Bidding docs.PDF
Summary: The District previously identified the need to replace the existing loudspeaker and paging system at Paloma Valley High School.

Public Contract Code section 22032 permits Districts that have elected to become subject to the Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Procedures to procure contracts expected to cost more than $200,000 through a formal bidding procedure. The District reasonably expected the cost of the Project would exceed $200,000 and therefore in May 2019 issued a formal bid and the required forms of notice and publication as required by Public Contract Code section 22037. The District received two bids, and Federal Technology Solutions, Inc. (“FTSI”) was determined to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The total cost for the installation services is $110,544.50.

It is also recommended that the Board of Trustees delegate to the Superintendent’s designee, the Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, Candace Reines, the authority to finalize, execute, and deliver the Contract on behalf of the District.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through the General Fund, One-Time Funds.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award RFP# 052319 to Federal Technology Solutions, Inc. for paging and speaker equipment installation services, and delegate authority to finalize, execute and deliver the Contract.
