Summary:
|
The Human Resources Department began using Adams Silvia and McNally LLP for legal services regarding personnel matters during the 2017-18 school year. Given the high-quality legal support that was received, the District would like to enter into a 5-year Agreement for legal services. This contract will not increase overall District legal expenses, but rather provide another alternative from the pool of legal resources. The hourly rate for services for 2018-19 will range from $120 to $260 per hour.
This contract is being brought forward as a ratification due to untimely receipt.
Government Code 53060: District may contract with and employ any persons for the furnishing to the special services and advice in financial, economic, accounting, engineering, legal, or administrative matters if such persons are specially trained and experienced and competent to perform the special services required.
