Summary:
|
The District requested proposals for geotechnical, material testing, and special inspections services for the District Solar Project. The District would like to extend the contract for materials testing and special inspection services to River City Testing. Title 24, Part 1, Section 4-335 requires that tests of materials for construction projects under the jurisdiction of the Division of State Architects (DSA) be performed by testing facilities acceptable to DSA. The services are being provided at total estimated project cost of $135,243.
The term of this Agreement shall be from August 2, 2017 to August 1, 2018.
The ratification of the Agreement with River City Testing is necessary in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this Agreement is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.

The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budgets funded through the Facilities Fund 25.
