Summary:

Shaun Jones, Yearbook Club Advisor, is submitting an overnight field trip request for seven yearbook students to go on an overnight trip to the 2018 Summer Yearbook Workshop Camp at Chapman University in Orange, California, July 20-23, 2018.
The purpose of yearbook camp is for students to gain college and professional training in yearbook layout, professional editing, photography, design and leadership. At yearbook camp students will create and design Paloma Valley High School’s 2019 yearbook theme, layout and cover.
Yearbook camp is a great educational and leadership opportunity for the yearbook students. Attendees will acquire a great deal of skills for yearbook design and journalistic writing and will accomplish a large amount of work in preparation of the 2019 school year.
In addition, the students will be participating in team building activities as they bond as a yearbook staff and have fun while learning. The advisor will receive veteran advisor training and networking with other advisors.
Students will stay in dorm rooms at Chapman University. Rooms will be assigned by gender and school (boys and girls will not be rooming together). All meals are provided by the camp. Cost will be $425 per student attendee, $515 per advisor. Transportation to and from the yearbook camp will be provided by a District vehicle.
